Jimmy Dean is an award-winning Director whose short films have screened at international film festivals. His latest short film V, starring Synnøve Karlsen (Clique), had its World Premiere at the BFI London Film Festival and was funded through Film London's London Calling scheme. 

His second short Offside, was awarded the XX Award for Best Female Representation by Screen International at Underwire Film Festival, was nominated for Best Student Film at London Short Film Festival and competed for the Children’s Award at Encounters Film Festival. Offside was recently selected by Into Film and the British Council to be screened in schools nationwide.

His debut short Charity, shot on 16mm, starring Charlotte Beaumont (Broadchurch), Amanda Drew (Eastenders) and Ed Birch (Life in Squares) was awarded Best of the Fest by Mike Leigh at Greenhorn Film Festival, won the Prix de Rouen-Norwich Club Prize at This Is England Film Festival in France and screened at the BAFTA-qualifying London Short Film Festival. The film screened across England and won prizes in England and France.
